MSB Joint Managing Directors Don Porter and Brian Hamill were delighted to attend the 2017 Professor Sir Roland Smith CEO Lecture in Westminster. The annual lecture is hosted by Lancaster University in memory of the late Sir Roland, who – in addition to being on the Court of Governors of the Bank of England, Chairman of Manchester United and boss of British Aerospace – was a generous benefactor to the university.
This year’s lecture was delivered by Antony Burgmans, former Chairman of Unilever, on the subject of ‘Leadership in Turbulent Times. Mr Burgmans spoke about the importance of values and principles to business success. MSB is delighted to have an ongoing partnership with Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) to deliver leadership programmes which provide participants with a combination of academic rigour and practical insight.
