Opportunity The ROH is renowned for its clinical care and patient service. However, its senior management wanted to gain further insight into – and improve - levels of staff engagement, the quality of leadership and the effectiveness of communications within the hospital.
Approach We conducted confidential interviews with a wide range of employees, from cleaners and clerical staff to senior consultants. The responses were assessed against the client’s vision, values and objectives.
MSB used the results of this research to produce a report which included an assessment of levels of employee engagement, management style and internal communications. The report concluded with a practical recommendations on the steps the ROH could take to become a leader in patient care and employee engagement.
Impact Our report formed the basis of a radical action plan, which included the introduction of leadership development training.
