Associates

MSB is privileged to work in partnership with more than 100 Associates, comprising innovative programme designers; training professionals; experienced consultants and interim managers.

The breadth and richness of experience amongst our Associate colleagues allows MSB to draw on the optimum blend of expertise to cater specifically to our clients’ requirements.

MSB Associates are equipped to deliver training in a range of languages including English, French, Spanish and Arabic.

Our Associates come from a wide variety of backgrounds – in both the public and private sectors. We have a rigorous selection process for recruitment and ongoing development of our Associates, including interviews, a range of assessment tests, a series of ‘live’ presentations, and client testimonials.

In addition, MSB convenes regular Associate evenings at our Ascot offices to further people's learning, to share best practice and to encourage networking across the team.

Ajay Bundy

Ajay has over 15 years' experience of coaching and developing people in the specialist areas of Leadership, Management, Teamwork and Customer Service. Ajay also heads up major cultural change programmes relating to Training and Development within an organisation.

Prior to Consultancy, Ajay began her career as a Graduate Management Trainee at Lloyds TSB, where she progressed into a managerial role within Training and Development. Since then Ajay has worked at a senior level for multiple blue chip clients, responsible for leading T&D for organisations within industries, including Telecommunications, Financial Services, Housing Associations, Pharmaceutical and Public Transport.

Ajay has a real passion and enthusiasm for challenging individuals to reach their personal and professional potential, helping to improve workforce performance as a whole and ultimately delivering success through people.

Angela Lockett

Angela is an extremely experienced learning and development designer, facilitator and consultant.

Angela began her career in local authority housing management, where she gained extensive experience in sales and customer service training design and delivery. From here she moved to Legal & General Assurance, where she was charged with the development of a training team and the design and delivery of a sales training blended learning package.

Since working on an independent basis, Angela has developed experience in the airline and travel industry, the voluntary sector, retail and marketing, banking and financial services, the pharmaceutical industry and the public sector, all on both a national and international basis.

Angela’s success and reputation has been built through her focus on both the individual’s and organisation’s objectives to ensure that her training gets the results required in the workplace. She places a strong emphasis on achieving those objectives in an enjoyable and memorable way.

Carrie Hayton

Carrie is an experienced facilitator and personal coach, with a range of experience in sales and customer service training, management development, coaching and outplacement.

Prior to establishing her own portfolio career, Carrie worked as the People Development Manager for Cabin Services at British Airways. Since then, her private sector business exposure includes travel, retail, finance and banking, legal, property management, pharmaceuticals and accountancy. Public Sector experience includes the Armed Forces and Local Government.

Carrie enjoys working closely with the client and is passionate about the value of personal development. As part of her own varied portfolio of work she lectures part time at Kingston Business School on the HR Masters programmes.

Jane Owles

Jane brings to MSB over 13 years' experience in People Development and Training, primarily within Sales, Customer Service, and Leadership and Management development.

Jane’s career started at Virgin Direct, where she quickly moved into sales coaching and training, eventually designing and developing company-wide training workshops. Since leaving this position, Jane has been at the forefront of many international projects for clients within Retail, Leisure and Travel, Finance, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, IT and Construction.

Jane’s ability to inspire people through the design and delivery of effective, impactful tailor-made workshops brings real added benefit to clients and encompasses MSB’s dedication to delivering lasting solutions.

Jo Melbourne

A key member of the team at MSB, Jo delivers programmes in Customer Service, Leadership, Communication and Corporate Change.

Jo began her training career in the Airline industry, where she designed and delivered flagship Management and Personal Development courses for British Airways. From here Jo moved into consultancy, where she has delivered various programmes for clients including Shell, Cable & Wireless and was also appointed to manage training and development for three prominent City Firms.

Through these engagements Jo has gained extensive global Learning and Development experience and a deep knowledge of her specialist areas. Clients of MSB regularly comment that Jo’s enthusiasm and passion for her subject has inspired a continuing positive change in individual and overall business performance.

John Cull

John has over 31 years' experience working as a management and training consultant in the following skills-based areas: customer service, leadership and change management, coaching, and presentation skills.

John's career started at British Airways, where he co-ordinated a variety of training programmes for Cabin Crew staff. Following BA, John became a training consultant and has designed and delivered various large scale training programmes for clients, including Natwest, Eurostar, BT and Thomson Holidays.

John has a passion for developing the skills of those who are committed to fulfilling their goals, and for bringing about sustainable improvements to business performance through people.

Marcello Mereu

Marcello has been working in international learning and development for over nine years and provides clients of MSB with specialist advice and training in Customer Service, Leadership, Multicultural Communication, Public Speaking and Sales.

Born in Italy, Marcello went on to complete various qualifications in the UK, France and Belgium and began his career in the Training Unit of the European Commission. This was followed by various postings as an independent trainer with clients including The European Parliament, Royal Bank of Scotland, Microsoft and Cisqo.

Marcello is able to deliver training fluently in English, French, Italian and Spanish. His cross-cultural education and commercial background is a key asset when working with MSB’s international clients.

Michael Lightfoot

Michael is a highly experienced training and development consultant, providing expertise in the areas of customer service, sales and leadership training.

After 25 years in the aviation sector working predominantly in performance management, John has followed his passion for people development by moving into consultancy, where he has headed up various initiatives for major blue chip clients such as Barclaycard, Natwest, National Trust and O2.

Michael’s passion for excellence in customer service is matched by his desire to coach people who aspire to be leaders. In line with MSB, Michael has a strong belief that developing people is a key driver to the success of an organisation, and this continues to be proven with the results he achieves.

Nick Baldock

Nick possesses over 18 years' experience in the design and delivery of training programmes and has considerable specialist knowledge and expertise in Sales and Marketing, Conflict Resolution, Stakeholder Management and Teambuilding.

In 2002, Nick devised the 'Certificate in Sales & Marketing' programme for the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management (ISMM). He is a Fellow of ISMM and has enjoyed an association with the Institute for over 18 years. His versatility and knowledge of different sectors has led to work within the Finance, Airline, Education, Automotive and Telecommunications industries.

Nick’s gregarious style, coupled with a strong belief in the practical application of training solutions, is a key reason why he continues to deliver lasting performance improvements and visible return on investment to MSB’s clients.

Paul Harris

Paul has been MSB's Chief Statistician for over 20 years.  He was formerly the Chief Statistician of NOP Market Research for twenty-six years, and is a Chartered Statistician of the Royal Statistical Society.

Paul is widely experienced in the design and analysis of segmentation studies and has much experience in trade off and pricing studies. Among his published works is a Market Research Society Silver Medal paper on the effects of clustering on random sample surveys. He was recently awarded an MRS Conference Technical prize for a joint author paper on Data Fusion.

He lectures widely on various topics for the Market Research Society and other bodies and has contributed chapters to two published Handbooks of market research.  In 1996 he was awarded a Gold Medal of The Market Research Society for exceptional contributions to market research and to the MRS over many years.
