MSB Proud Sponsor of Savannah Brown – 1st Violinist, National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain
As part of our 25th year anniversary celebrations, MSB is proud to become a sponsor of one of the UK’s most celebrated teams of young talent - the highly-regarded National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.
Commenting on the NYO, The Times recently wrote: ‘An orchestra worth funding to the skies’, whilst The Observer had this to say: ‘A brilliant constellation of young stars’.
In particular, MSB is delighted to be sponsoring 16 year-old Savannah Brown from our home county of Berkshire. Savannah is a member of the 1st Violins in the National Youth Orchestra. Whilst she is being taught the violin at school, Savannah also attends Music College.
2012 is her second year in NYO and of her experience so far Savannah has cited working with renowned conductors as a particular highlight, saying ‘it has increased my orchestral technique enormously.’
Savannah was recently runner up in the Newbury Young Musician of the Year 2012. Not just a classical violinist though, Savannah also likes musicals and plays classical alto and soprano saxophone to a post Grade 8 standard. Outside of music, Savannah enjoys lacrosse, swimming and dog-walking.
Savannah and her fellow musicians are benefiting from a life-changing opportunity to develop their skills and talents to the full, something which MSB aspires to do every day for its blue-chip international clients across the globe.
Speaking of MSB’s sponsorship of Savannah, Head of Training and Development at MSB, Mel Kragh, comments: “Clients frequently come to us to develop the capabilities of their employees in areas such as leadership and team-building; nowhere are these skills more important than in an orchestra in order to deliver an outstanding performance each and every time. MSB is therefore delighted to sponsor Savannah and wishes her all success and enjoyment in her exciting development in the National Youth Orchestra”.
