London Eye launch new mobile app
Throughout the summer of 2011, MSB worked alongside the London Eye to conduct a 14 week research project which involved testing various experiences in order to enhance the London Eye visitor appeal as a whole.
A range of experiences was tested through the busy 2011 summer season which led the London Eye to announce in January 2012 that it would be installing Samsung Galaxy Tab devices in each of their 32 capsules. To read the full article, please click here
The technological innovation which includes key information on landmarks that can be seen from the London Eye, as well as a 3D view of each sight, has been a hit with the customers and now the London Eye is taking it one step further.
On 2nd April 2012, the London Eye announced that a ‘London Eye App’ will be available exclusively on Samsung devices and the Google Play Store. It will then be available to Android and iPhone users from the 31st May 2012.
The London Eye App will feature a combination of several of the experiences that were tested by MSB over the research period. These include a 360 panoramic view of the capital including day and night options and a ‘Voices of London’ audio tour which follows three individuals’ different perspectives of the sights and sounds of London. Our work includes visitor satisfaction research, mystery shopping and ad hoc requests such as the Capsule Experience research over summer 2011.
